About the department
The department of Political Science was started in the year 1980. The department became a PG department in the year 1993. The department has a full time faculty and 4 guest lecturers. The department is conducting UG and PG classes.
The Political science department has got its own library and is also equipped with a wifi connection for the benefit of the students and staff. The department focuses on teaching and research activities. The staff members of the department have varied experience in different fields of the subject. Several Students have got the UGC / NET / JRF, Rajiv Gandhi, ICSSR and other fellowships. The Alumni of the department have excelled is academia, bureaucracy, NGO and Corporate sectors.
